Wer Can I Buy Bmx In The Philippines

CONTACT U.S. Presentation

PRESENTATION

Hello, Pogona-land as farming was born in 2008 in Monterotondo (RM) where we bought many copies of different morph as gold, orange and red sandfire. In 2009 we had the first experience in the reproduction of Pogona vitticeps, achieving some success with many births. Getting closer and closer and knowledge of the fascinating world of Morph Pogona vitticeps, also in 2009 we decided to specialize in the breeding morph "leatherback" (the absence of the gene that causes tuberculosis and skin smoother to the touch in the Pogona) by buying our players all strictly non-consanguineous from one of the largest and most well-known breeder Italian Alessandro " ALEMOZ . If you want to do quality work rather than quantity, for 2010 in addition to the leatherback morph line mother, was joined by the hypo gene (the gene that causes the absence of melanin in Pogona), which will allow us to select animals of a red, we hope, somewhat surprising place. And if there are too few to select from hypo silkback striking colors.
NEWS '
year in our breeding Pogona came from the new morph very special but also from all sources fantastic, we were able to take copies of leatherback HET HYPO TRANSLUCENT direttamenteb the U.S. with the wonderful colors and Pogona hand made in Italy by one of our dear friend HYPOTRANS POLAR , hoping and always chasing our initial project is a very unusual color.

LONG HISTORY OF COLUMN

had to come on the eve of the works, scheduled for St. Matthew, to finally see the fotorendering published today in the newspaper of the Crescent City. And so it has removed any doubt that if ever we had the draft Bofill has an impressive impact. From the center of the square, the colonnade is infamous barrier preventing high view of Salerno, one of the convents, gardens and palaces of Minerva, for instance. How sad, that misery, desolation in that huge amphitheater that empty desert and only animated by the flashy design of the pavement, that any of the local hairdresser, a lover of the vernacular, not even propose a tavern for most of the third-rate rude customer. There is no shred of a person included in the simulation with the photo-camera dell'archistar yet paid two million euro for the project should be sufficient to produce images more convincing-that makes it really a good idea of how to present the usual square: without a soul. Other than Eur effect should be ruled as the mayor claimed in one of his apologies for the project. A view in particular reminds even the door of Milan in the evening when the shops and offices are closed, only sadness and desolation. After stunted saplings planted on the sidewalks every citizen in Liberty Square is not provided even a blade of green plane trees will be killed, I guess at night, to leave no scope for protest, as was done for other similar demolition operations ungrateful, or of archaeological cover-ups (see Piazza S. Agostino). The overall effect is so alienating that it has something inhuman, alienating even for the obsessive rhythm of the column fields is always the same. Who really wants such a horror?
Speculate well gentlemen, you've always done and continue to do so until the world will turn but not to cause an outrageous like our city! Otherwise we can only turn its back on 30 feet of concrete and turn their eyes to the sky or the sea. Or less elegantly use the famous urn as spittoon.

infamous' THE BOAT IS ...

Dear archistars Italian and foreign architects and even that will create wonders for Salerno, after the great architect Zaha Hadid, Santiago Calatrava and Nicola Pagliara, please do not given to us more building projects inspired by ships, boats and the like or risk being rhetorical and repetitive. Okay we are fishing theme for this but if the repertoire is very wide. Then take example by Dominique Perrault and Ricardo Bofill that refer to the "purpo" and (middle) ring.

A Paragraph About Alzheimer

CITY 'TOURIST

After having successfully passed an exam that I had taken quite a commitment I decided to take a tempting prize. What was my disappointment to find the gate of the famous ice cream shop down town where I intended to restore me can well imagine my four readers. A sign posted on the locked door reads "Closed for internal work". In fact the usual well-informed have told me that the ice cream shop was closed due to serious shortcomings in sanitation.

Walking around the city, even in broad daylight in a sunny 30 degrees, I've a few of times to see wandering the streets in the center (the last sighting being Avallone), live rodents. Of those dead squashed on the asphalt as shoe soles and tanned by the wheels of the car and the sun has lost count.
The mice are also at home on the waterfront where we were seen perched on trees and a few even fall victim sitting on the bench. They are not urban legends as I thought at first, I saw them myself. Moreover, the strong stench of sewage that is felt on the most beautiful promenade of Salerno leaves no doubt that we are in the ideal habitat for the proliferation of murine this species.

If it happens instead of walking in the center of the evening as tourists and proceed again enchanted by the beauty of Salerno old one is unpleasantly shocked at the sight of piles of bags resting on the thresholds of doors and gates waiting for the harvest. This scenario of differentiated Salerno reminiscent of the period of the waste in Naples, has not only offered to visitors in the area marked by tourist guides, but throughout the city as a democratic principle that for once breaks down the differences and the common center and the periphery.
Nothing strange or against the rules, directives require municipal waste to expose the evening, so the next morning, the gathering of people in charge.

newspaper stand out on posters Titles for days worrying about sewage pollute our waters. Who went to the beach last weekend found a thin layer of feces and other garbage floating in the water, many swimmers have left the shores. It almost seems that a King Midas evil instead of turning into gold everything he touches turn it into me ... in the mud.

on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfaWhjZnO9c ) you can still see an old episode of Porta a Porta where the mayor of Salerno chill to say that our city is the South cleaner, repeating like a mantra the obsessive leitmotif that has made the fortune of his campaign: cleaner for ... more looking for ... .. bigger, and so on.

Our city is rather dirty, filthy and prides itself on being a city of tourism. The City of Salerno, not only intended as a City Hall but as an urban whole, would have to close for major shortcomings sanitation and citizens in mass go elsewhere.
The last one comes out put up the sign.

the circus

E 'within a week after the publication of the Unit Blog of ten questions on the Crescent to the mayor of Salerno Vincenzo De Luca, response: None. If applications were addressed with the tacit consent of the formula would get better results.
Months have passed instead of opening a debate that saw the birth of a committee, the involvement of ordinary people from the worlds of culture, art and architects, published in local and national media on the media. Among the interventions of prominent personalities stands out harsh criticism of the heavy Gillo Dorfless who wrote " with Bofill (l 'English architect who signed the draft of the Crescent in Salerno ed) it often falls into a type of architecture that we can not call kitsch. Many of its buildings are aesthetically objectionable and not done with irony, but pursuing eye-catching architecture, decorative false, antifunzionale that impresses the audience . Interested directly to the project while the shape of a crescent of Salerno critic Vittorio Sgarbi spoke of "frightening Soviet ministry" and " company intended to satisfy, first, building luxury residential . Mayor's response: insults.
Yes, it seems incredible, but insults were addressed to both the influential critic in the past now as ordinary citizens who dare to dissent from his views and we have been publicly lynched on local stations and mocked with colorful epithets (chiwawa, penguins , lovers cabin, etc..) without the possibility of direct replication. Even the councilors who voted for the resolution, or superintendent who expressed a favorable opinion on the draft S. Teresa felt the need to respond to questions and allay the concerns of Salerno on the casting of concrete that will fall on the waterfront. Yet should feel proud to be recognized as preferential partners of the dialogue between authorities and citizens. On the other hand
surprise some spontaneous statements about the affair, expressed as a kind of justification, and suggest that failures much more serious than those which overshadowed the scandal of Crescent enough to recall the mechanism involuntary brought to light serious omissions in the field of Cultural Heritage by a series of erotic private wiretapping of our premier.
The first statement is to displace the Town Planning Councillor who declares that the use of variants it was necessary to streamline the plan Bohigas otherwise unmanageable.
The second revelation is the same as De Luca says that the Crescent and the attached Liberty Square has been designed as a more dignified alternative to the original design by Bohigas to be made in the area of S. Teresa residences of economic people. I seem to infer from these statements two serious shortcomings of the municipal administration, opposing and complementary. Hypothesis 1: Bohigas devised a plan unworkable (but Barcelona have failed to implement the urban plan of the same Catalan architect), monstrously complex in its overall implementation and inadequate guidelines in particular, in which case it is legitimate to ask why Administration has approved of Salerno with enormous waste of public money and time.
Hypothesis No. 2: proceed with variations for the complete inability of the management plan and / or because it is more convenient to work on ad hoc, not to say a personal basis, as acutely observed F. Martin in a speech.
There is a phrase of Mayor De Luca on the outcry over the affair of Crescentt and delivered in an 'interview with a local radio station that strikes deeply concerned about his strength and self-denigrating "the caravan passes, the dogs are barking! "
that dogs continue to bark until you also get real answers and civilians, will exist as long as freedom of opinion and ideas, as long as there will be no denial or confirmation that this administration is a bandwagon as she holds of herself and he says.

SERVO praise and COWARDS OUTRAGE
Who would have thought that would be risen from the rank of mayor, sheriff art critic Mayor? Mmmmm ... So let's recap, after Salerno quenched by prostitutes and unauthorized parking lot (there is always the famous "lady" that calls for the two euro to leave the car right under the policy) after rap unruly motorists (even double parking in the city palace) and the peasants chased dall'Ippocratica civitas, he himself, the arbiter elegantiae, after having built the foundations of judicial Citadel (stop at the rustic to business failure) and the maritime station (Taking literally the message of Christ "who is without sin cast the first stone", since that was laid only); rebuilt after the copy of the Berlin Wall in the form of city subway system that will ensure racing frequency eurostar (one train every hour) and while the writers, armed with spray can thank, and yet, after replacing the balls socialist northern waterfront with romantic lanterns (with squirrels "Mediterranean" in the subject); repaved with prodigality over the city twice in Less than four decades, finally made the city of Salerno and fragrant sea with clear water and miles of beaches, but sin that are closed to erosion; revive economy town authorized the opening of civil Baroque architecture kebab most valuable of Salerno (Genovese allude to the Palace of Campo Largo, owned by the city, whose old-growth windows are wide open on desolate rooms gutted by a partial restructuring, which could be called the restoration !) said after all this and more that my memory is the most assists and the risk of losing their train of thought, after all that here he takes a keynote of decoration Vittorio Sgarbi, art critic is sudden and replies in turn on the edge of an elegant irony, on the leaf of marijuana smoke that inevitably Sgarbi should not be so polished as to be understood to be functioning well. Then This history of the marijuana leaf is ridiculous because I personally also recalls a peacock's tail in the body can not be other than that of the first sitting cives alive (not dead, as he would like) in the center of the largest square Europe to take the wheel of his vanity.
And still our fellow citizens from the screen ensures that the Crescent will be all beautiful sand-colored (but that our local dark?) Hoping perhaps that blends in with the beach of S. Teresa, only with the white columns to copy those "made in beam" of the city palace. But forget that architecture is not a fable that is told in words but which is expressed by itself through the project but it is armored, top secret.
renderings dell'archistar Catalan now he could only admire Dorfles, alas, even the supervision that they had been required to issue a shred of opinion, in a recent meeting at Paestum, near the temples so as to get better in archaeological mood of the colonnade. At that time, never tired but still brisk, chill the Primus is to explain to the centenary Dorfles, which has already seen the sorts of things, the virtues of his Castellone sand, ripping half consent, but said so right to education . Then Dorfles had already expressed its opinion on the work as kitsch Bofill branding and away from the language and if it is true that contemporary repetita iuvant perhaps this is more relevant to the saying to wash the head ass ... etc.. Maybe, but during the conversation with the distinguished critic same De Luca, perhaps out of pure spirit of contradiction, to crush the twin project of Crescent already rejected in Paris raising a terrible doubt: he will be God who lands Manzoni and raises that breathless and comforting. Be careful, however, that the consensus underlying the megalomania of the present moment will be less and it already creaking under the blows of the foundations of parliamentary questions. Then the "servant eulogy will replace inevitalmente for historical nemesis" the cowardly outrage, "the sand castle will collapse miserably and what should be the project of his life will become the grave of his political career.

CRESCENT: 10 QUESTIONS TO THE MAYOR DE LUCA
1. Mr. Mayor, what are the real dimensions of the Crescent and that the amount of benefits work?
2. What will argue that private spending and what will change in the City of Salerno to get permission to build on an area so sought after?
3. Are legitimate exceptions to zoning regulations that limit building height to 10 meters in that area?
4. What benefit will the citizens of Salerno the construction of a private building in residential area on a former state-owned beach in front of the historic St. Teresa?
5. The residences of the Crescent can be purchased at subsidized regime as in the case of cooperative or planned on the outskirts of the city lying in the center will be for the wealthy?
6. What will be the profit of private individuals and what actually comes into the coffers of the City?
7. Zampino The Superintendent has obtained the direction of the institution of contemporary Museum of Salerno in exchange for tacit consent by which project was approved at the Crescent?
8. Why has never been published on the environmental impact study on the waterfront of Salerno with the inclusion of the Crescent? Where are the rendering of Bofill?
9. A private company bought the Jolly Hotel for several million euro and about the trade-in price to the City of Salerno tripled to demolish it. Can you clarify this and the economic gap between the cost of buying and selling of the Jolly Hotel?
10. Salernitani can assure that none of his family, friends and associates is part of this private company?

below my comment appeared on the blog of 'The Unit 17/07 / 2009 ( http://cittaecitta.blog.unita.it//Le_due_scelte_di_Salerno_491.shtml ) reported on the Committee website and no Crescent ( www.nocrescent.it )

drying clothes WHERE THE CONDOMINIUMS CRESCENT?

About the project:
First, the controversy on the actual size speaks volumes about the transparency of the project and its successful transmission of nationality. Any action of waterfront, including the tables of the competition produced by amateurs or emerging architecture is accompanied by an extensive series of fotorendering. This is primarily a form of study and preliminary environmental impact assessment on the part of the architectural designer, as well as a modern and effective tool for reporting and dissemination of the work, its more easily understood, even by less experienced . In the case of the Crescent fotoinserimento three-dimensional, or at least the prospectus with the inclusion of buildings overlooking the sea curtain in order to compare the heights, has never been made public, but for sure because there is no doubt that the study has been carried out for Bofill reasons set out above and submit documentation to the Department. E 'state is shown with great fanfare but the model has the essential function of defining and highlighting the volume and architecture of the individual, but not his actual relationship with the context. It would be appropriate to have seen at eye level, inside the square and at strategic points (the cornerstones of the iconography of the city) such as the waterfront, as seen from the sea looking towards the hill and the Castle of Buonadies Arechi.
Where are the official rendering of the Crescent Bofill made by the study and presented the request for an opinion to the Department? Where is the environmental impact study of the Crescent on the seafront of Salerno?
On-gap project name and not only that
It advertises the creation of a vacuum, a large square: Piazza della Libertà, in reality it will build a mammoth volume, full of cement as Crescent. It misleads the public by presenting as a public open space and what will be a building, a private building nearly 30 meters high.
identity:
Salerno is not Naples, or Rome, or Lisbon, and then did not need a second square of the Plebiscite, a second Piazza del Popolo, etc.. If Salerno had not ever get an identity not by copying other cities, other models. Who says Salerno lack of identity, he just can not see it. There is an error cultural background, the Crescent will be the most beautiful building in the world (obviously not with the current form) designed by the most acclaimed of the moment (obviously not the current one) but would incorrectly attempt to emulation of reality different from ours. It 'obvious that the culture of the project, the sensitivity to the environment and the landscape, knowledge of the real potential of our village, not only exploited but let wither and agony, are not at home nor find a home in Salerno Crescent .
On beauty:
It appeals to the excessive volume, at huge, the barrier between the coast and the city, the type obsolete, etc. .. The aesthetics do not argue, we know that is subjective and debatable. The beautiful object does not exist ... but the objective is ugly! and then we have the courage to say it clearly: the Crescent is objectively bad.
In the end (but not too much to defuse):
Where drying clothes condos at the Crescent, from the balconies overlooking the largest square in Europe? Or all of the apartments will be equipped with a dryer? but we know our parts not in use. When the Festivalbar be snatched Plebiscite Square, hosted at Freedom Square will like to rest the poor millionaires living in the crescent condominiums with all those decibels?

I Forgot The Combination To My Dudley Lock

Codex Sinaiticus

I read the name "Codex Sinaiticus " for the first time a few minutes ago on the website of La Repubblica in an blurb on the side of the main news, there was talk of the oldest bible online. The news intrigued me and here's what I discovered about it: the Codex Sinaiticus is a manuscript of the Christian Bible, which dates from the fourth century AD , inside contains the oldest complete transcript of the New Testament. Moreover, it is a copy of Septuagint, or the liturgical version of the Old Testament for the Orthodox Church. It is therefore a fundamental text importance from the standpoint of religious but it is even more to scholars of religion s tory because within it there are many corrections made during copying. And it is not always fixes errors trascrivente but more often modifications of the original text with advertisements, sometimes of whole sentences. Studying the Codex Sinaiticus and comparing it with other transcripts is possible to reconstruct some of passages through which has reached the "modern" version of the Holy Scriptures . In practice, the study of the manuscript is can understand how the Bible was read, interpreted and used in the early centuries of Christianity.

Codex Sinaiticus, share apartments in the British Museum

If the study of the code is interesting, the more his story turns out to be "modern." It was recovered by Konstantin von Tischendorf at St. Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai, Egypt. It took three trips (and the intervention of the Tsar Alexander II) for almost the entire manuscript , jealously guarded by the monks who still consider the manuscript stolen from the monastery unless he is actually bought by the Tsar himself in 1859, date last trip Konstantin Von Tischendor. The code has been preserved at the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg until 1933, when it was sold to the British Museum . In
1975, during the renovation of the monastery, v Enner other scrolls belonging to the light code, which are currently preserved at the monastery.

The historical events are thus meant that the Codex Sinaiticus is currently divided between four institutions: the British Museum (347 sheets), the library of the University of Leipzig (43 sheets - I could not understand how they got there ...), the Monastery of Saint Catherine (12 sheets and 40 pieces) and the Russian National Library (6 pieces of paper, evidently left out the purchase of the British). In 2005 these four institutions decide to give life to a project conservation, preservation and digitization of the manuscript , so as to make available all of this important historical record. First has assessed the conservation status of each papyrus (or fragment thereof) with an assessment completed out by international experts who work (alas) only with a magnifying glass and experience. Later it was decided to intervene "loosely" on the sheets considered at risk. For each portion of the manuscript is written nanny s a card which contains all the features of the paper, from thick, ending with the ink color and its stage of bleaching.
He later completed the digitization of all the code . Before the acquisition of the photos we had to decide which were the best conditions to obtain readable images, while not altering the original sheet (I think especially as an ancient parchment and the ink can be sensitive to its values Lux too high). The shots were taken in raking light , to highlight the conservation status of the parchment over its content. The third part
work involved a team of "transcribers / translators" . It 'was in fact made a full transcript of the manuscript greek in uncial (capital) to which was then joined by the t ranslation in English, Russian, Greek (moderna!) and German. Note that the transcription is of fundamental importance for easier reading of the text, which is sometimes difficult using only the photographs.

Just yesterday began at the British, a two-day p resentation of the project just ended. The result of the work of a team at least one hundred members is enclosed in a beautiful site that I recommend you visit: http://www.codex-sinaiticus.net/en/ .

We carry only a screenshot of the wonderful section where we can read any page of the Codex Sinaiticus:

ESTER 1:1 to

left-side photo waterway page, top the right transcription and under translation in English. also available from the menu display board preservation of the papyrus in question.

The site also contains a wealth of information (much more than I have in the post I quote) about the history of the Code and its importance to the community historical research.
would be nice to live one day be able to see the code, and, who knows, maybe do some analysis on those ink ... but that's another story about my academic research ... maybe one day I could do a post on these measures! Time will tell ... for now let's enjoy this beautiful site, the result of a really good project that should be completed on all precious codes at risk. We hope that digitization (and the consequent liberalization or dissemination of images obtained on the internet) really become a practice even in our libraries.

Polo Suitcase Lock Combination

USS Arizona and its

December 7, 1941: the Japanese naval fleet attacking Pearl Harbor . Five of the seven American armored are sunk, among them, the USS Arizona , which later became the symbol of the first phase of the battle of the Pacific. A bomb dropped by at 08:06 Hiryu Kate hits the ship on the starboard , resulting in opening a hole in the hull due to the explosion of the ammunition magazine. The image below is the only known color camera of the attack on USS Arizona .

The armor is lies on the shallow waters of Pearl Harbor , less than 10 meters deep. After the Japanese attack there were about 2300 victims military almost half of them belonged to the crew of the battleship Arizona.

The part of the story that interests us closer begins when you decide that the wreck is a symbol and for this you need enhance it. Unlike many other famous cases (especially the one Vasa), the choice of the American authorities is to not recovered from the hull bottom . It was decided to erect a platform "Canadian" in the direction perpendicular to the hull (see picture below) is placed on the platform the USS Arizona Memorial , which is visited each year by at least one million people.

The structure of the memorial has an opening on the floor that allows visitors to observe the tank of ship, from which emerge constantly "Tears of the USS Arizona . The hull of the battleship , In fact, fuel lost from the time when it was sunk. For this reason, since 1999 has been developed a multidisciplinary project for and preservation of the hull of ' marine ecosystem on which it stands: the USS Arizona Preservation Project .
The project is a collaboration between the U.S. Geological Survey's Pacific Science Center and the National Park Service. The main issues on which current research focuses are the state of corrosion of the hull and geological structure of the seabed on which the battleship.

How can we imagine the factors that influence the resistance of a metal in the marine environment are numerous, the main parameters that are taken into account are: the pH the concentration of oxygen (oxygen is directly responsible for the corrosion of metal ) and salinity water. In addition to what can be done
campaigns of measures to determine the thickness of the walls the ship's structure. In particular, in a first phase was carried sampling of some sections of the hull (discs with dimensions of 4 inches in diameter), after which it was decided to fall back on a non-invasive technique such as ultrasound probe , considering the importance of the artifact in question.

To assess the rate of corrosion of the hull from the sea water are measurements of corrosion potential (Ecorr). This potential is measured with an electrode Ag / AgCl. By relating the potential with the pH value of water is possible to estimate what the average length of the metal.

The most interesting part of this study is that researchers have developed a system to study the interior of the vessel . In collaboration with a company specializing in underwater filming was made a little-Ray Video ROV (Remotely-Operated Vehicle). This, as well as make video recording transmitted in real time the operator-driver can be equipped with any type of probe in our case, obviously, the researchers decided to equip it with an ultrasound device to assess the thickness of the inner parts of the hull and simultaneously measured the above parameters in areas inaccessible to humans. The picture below shows the ROV used by American researchers.

emerged from the data so far resisted the hull seems to have pretty good marine corrosion.

Another part of monitoring involves the collection (and the subsequent analysis) of concretions found in the outer hull. Particular attention was paid to the ' analysis of colonies of microorganisms present in them in order to understand whether and how microfauna this hull is affecting the corrosion of iron. Preliminary results of this part of the work were published in the new issue of the Journal of Cultural Heritage it is just reading this article I am passionate about the case of the USS Arizona! Through

probes GPS, position in strategic areas of the ship, the position of the hull is kept under constant control ; areas around the hole were placed motion detectors, as is done with a masonry structural cracks.

Finally, as mentioned earlier, all combined ' analysis of the movements of the hull and a detailed geological study of the sediments Bay's Pearl Harbor which lies on the battleship, will enable scientists to ensure that this symbol of the history American and submerged a peaceful rest for at least another hundred years!

Removing Hologram From Licesne

Hello!

here I am again (finally) to write on the pages of Art & Science .... you've missed ??... probably not, but I've missed you!

I had a very short time to stop due to the conclusion of the thesis and later graduated ( Yay! ), but now I will devote myself more regularly in these digital pages, to offer new products, ideas, news and curiosity about the world of restoration and conservation!

as the first post I would like to disseminate on a show that is organizing my fellow blog:

I invite you to visit the official website !

In practice this is an exhibition that aims to illustrate, through posters and publications, what is the work of the students of Bachelor's degree and specialized classes 41 and 12s (the numbers are right .... I hope), the exhibition will collect about 40 posters that will have the daunting task of showing the work of the thesis held by many students who performed in those courses.

The posters will range from the application of nanoparticles on the sailing ship Vasa , the study of Mexican mortar (from the site of Calakmul ) detailing vegetable gums up special studies on the degradation of the photographs. In short, between pure research and experimental work of restoration at the edge of fantasy, will travel through what is behind to a restoration that will delight even the most versed in the art.

The exhibition, in addition to being an excellent opportunity to make known to all the great research work that is behind a "good" (pass me the word ..) restoration, will also represent a useful moment to bring home to " experts " the smoky figure conservation scientist, we want (and must) define as a future professional, and still, unfortunately, is slow to take hold.

Anyone attended the three-year degree or specialized in Florence can contact the organizers at the following e-mail address:

scientiaadartem@gmail.com

All many of you are invited to the exhibition (details on the place and date coming soon) to anyone who has attended the same course in another city council to promote similar initiatives in order to capture more and more, people's attention to the world of conservation scientist.

Poster Restoration: Living between Ferrara and the Art Newspaper

Approaches annual appointment with the "Living art of restoration and preservation of Cultural and Environmental Heritage", to be held in Ferrara March 25 to 28. For those who still did not know this event will make a quick statement of the various options that the Exhibition has to offer:

- Conventions that develop throughout the day in different rooms
- A multitude of technical meetings usually held by companies active in the restoration
- Much of the building is occupied by stands of exhibitors of any kind (I recommend a glance publishing houses active in the area ... often you can find interesting books at a discount!)
- Organization of exhibitions that can be visited with the same ticket of entry to the salon

So for those who had never been there and is interested the theme of the restoration proposal from all points of view, I highly recommend to switch from Ferrara. event on the official website you will find details of all events programmed during the 4-day event.

also indicated that it is on sale a special supplement to "The Journal of Art and Architecture " all dedicated to the restoration and exhibition of Ferrara. Below I will propose a quick index of the most interesting articles proposed in the paper:

- "You must restore the art night." Article offers two different views on the restoration of the contemporary (very topical issue and also by Andrea trattatto in a previous post ): on the one hand there are those who maintain that the work should not be touched and the other Instead we propose conservation measures aimed at prolonging the life of the object without significantly change appearance and materiality.
- "The renovation of the contemporary collection Burri.
- "A structure differs from the expected waits for the Centre in the Royal Palace." Discussion on Conservation and Restoration Centre "La Venaria" speaking about the activities of the Centre, its financial problems and a possible unification of the Museums of the same regiment.
- "A reastauro announced by 67 years." The article describes the restoration just completed on the 'Annunciation "by Antonello da Messina.
- "reveals the secrets of divine geometry". Presents the history of the difficult reconstruction of Minbar of Saladin: the solution to the riddle of how they were assembled 16,000 pieces of walnut, ebony and ivory without nails or glue.
- "The Cubans we prove: restuarare can not privatize." A review of various conservation work carried out on buildings of downtown Havana.
- "The mountains with the clouds (of points). Discussion on the latest technologies in the field of remote sensing of buildings with a laser scanner.
- "But now Italy is in danger of missing the train." History of the Committee UNI-Normal that 30 years is responsible for standardization of methods and diagnostic tests, but recent budget cuts are undermining the work of the Committee scheduled for the future.

breeding and slaughter in Islam

Halal slaughter methods
DEBATE ON THE 'HALAL': animal rights protect the sheep or the butcher?
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
attacks against the Islamic method of slaughter 'Halal' by animal rights activists, telling the "story" of a barbaric and bloody ritual slaughter, are constantly increasing.
There are two different aspects of this controversy: the program of vegetarians, who would totally prohibit the consumption of animal products, and animal rights lobby, which is the mouthpiece of the request for a more humane method of slaughter.
ANIMALS HAVE RIGHTS?
The argument raised by vegetarians supports that killing animals for human benefit is that it is cruel and a violation of their rights. According to their point of view, men and animals are on the same level without recognizing the human being any kind of authority over them. This reasoning is totally wrong because if the animals had rights comparable to those of man, should have, then, also equivalent duties, in other words we should be able to accuse and punish them when they violate the rights of others.
It 's absurd to be considered a crime if a human kills a sheep, while considered "normal" if a lion to do so. The problem stems from the idea of man's role wrong within the animal kingdom: the denial of the purpose of creating a hierarchy within delineated with precision degrades man to the same level as other creatures.
But in this case, the reasoning is illogical, because then the plants will not be granted the same protection against the violation of the sanctity of their lives?
ISLAMIC SLAUGHTER AND THE METHOD OF 'CRUEL?
a different view about the method of slaughter to be used to avoid any kind of cruelty.
It 'true that when the blood flows from the throat of an animal scene that presents itself to our eyes looks pretty violent, but the fact that a day today's meat is purchased in supermarkets, in clean and hygienic packaging, does not mean that the animal had to die!
methods that compel non-Muslims slaughter the animal is not conscious before his killing and this is usually achieved through stunning ol'elettronarcosi. It 'really less painful to shoot a pistol in the brain of a sheep or put a ring on the neck of a chicken, which affect his throat? Simply watch the scene can not give us an objective idea of what the animal test.
scientific facts
team at the University of Hannover in Germany examined the two methods by analyzing the recordings produced dall'elettroencefalogramma (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG). In all animals used for the experiment were surgically implanted electrodes in a number of different parts of the skull, after which these animals were given several weeks to recover.
Later some of them were slaughtered by the method Islamic 'halal', meaning a rapid, deep incision on the neck from side to side, made a very sharp blade, which cuts the jugular vein el 'carotid artery together with the trachea and esophagus, but leaves intact the spine.
The rest of the cattle before being slaughtered is giddy with the method of captive bolt pistol, typical of Western slaughterhouses.
EEG and ECG recordings allowed the observation of the brain and heart throughout the process.
HALAL METHOD
The method 'halal' is not registered no change in the EEG graph for the first 3 seconds of the incision, indicating that the animal did not feel any pain due to the cut. This is not surprising: often, when we cut with a sharp tool, we realize it only after some 'time! The following 3 seconds
showed a condition similar to a state of unconsciousness of deep sleep caused the loss of huge amounts of blood. From that moment on, the EEG has reported zero values indicate that a total absence of pain, although the heart was still beating and the body was in the grip of severe seizures, a conditioned reflex of the spine. And
'This is the phase most unpleasant for caregivers, who mistakenly convinced that the animal is suffering while his brain actually does not record any more sensory message.
METHOD
WESTERN with the Western method, the animals were apparently unconscious after stunning, and this method of killing seems to be to the observer, much more peaceful. Nevertheless, the reading
EEG showed severe pain immediately after stunning. While in the first instance the animal begins to feel pain because of the "hunger" of oxygen and blood in the brain - the brain has died, to put it in simple terms - the second example of the first slaughter causes the arrest of the heart, while the animal is still capable of feeling pain.
there is not, however, unpleasant to convulsions, which not only means there is more blood retention in the flesh, but also that this second method lends itself much better to question the efficiency of modern methods of mass slaughter. When an animal is not moving is much easier to kill him on the conveyor belt!
The Closet
What we see is not always reality. Those who want to ban the Islamic way, by appealing to a more humane way to kill animals necessary to our livelihood, they are actually more concerned about people's feelings and those of animals, which would have you believe to be in favor. The method of stunning
makes the mass slaughter of easier and more acceptable to consumers, who can deceive himself that the animal did not feel any pain when he goes to buy his piece of meat, clean and Shipping, the supermarket.
Method 'Halal', in contrast, does not seek to deny that the consumption of meat means that animals have to die, but is executed so as to cause the least pain possible. THE HOLISTIC VIEW

Islam is a way of life balanced. For Muslims the privilege to supplement their diet with animal protein indicates a duty towards the welfare of the animal itself, both during the breeding during the slaughter.
Modern methods of breeding and slaughter Westerners, on the contrary, pointing to a mass consumer market and treat the animal as a commodity. As the battery hens are more suitable for producing large scale quantities of eggs, the methods of slaughter Westerners are better for the industry meat, but are not favorable or animal, or the consumer.
The Islamic model ensures a healthier life for the animal and meat is healthier for the consumer.
Sahib Mustaqim Bleher was born in Germany to a Protestant family. He made a career in journalism and book publishing. He converted to Islam in 1980 and later moved to England. Currently holds the post of Secretary General of the British Islamic Party (Islamic Party of Britain).

why you should not eat pork in Islam

Pork
by Mostafa A. Refaei
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the most merciful
Another example of those who allow themselves to express opinions without the slightest awareness of the saying of Allah: {Say: 'In what is revealed to me I find no other prohibitions about food, if not' dead animal, blood poured out and the pork - which is unclean. "} [Surat Al-An'am (The Cattle), vers. No 145]. They say that such a ban, according to them, concerned that time of the pig, who was accustomed to eating from garbage and feces, and this is not applicable to the pig of our times that is raised under sanitary control! [1]
They want to divert Qur'an a second time during certain periods in their complacent, but the will One who is blessed and glorious, who has sent down is to make books of all time.

[1] From "Divine Verses - the miracle of the Qur'an": pp. 227-229: "The prohibition of eating pork - pork Having alluded to, you can not avoid talking about it. More or less everyone knows that Muslims do not eat meat because the Qur'an (2:173, 5:3; 6:145, 16:115) forbids man to eat. Often, this ban has been the subject of mockery in the mouths of non-Muslims. Now, however, the framework is food, even scientifically, many funds: So it's Because the Muslims are right to take against those who still eat it.
But let's see why. Our limited human knowledge only recently been able to discover the many damages that pork can make in the human body. Besides the fact that the pig is not only a herbivore carnivore but also, it contains a third peculiarity very disgusting food: it is, indeed, as noted also iatrochemists Paracelsus, an eater of dung! In fact, in many places in the world where there are no sewage systems that animal was and is still used, in fact, as a cleaner.
turns out to be - for those who always reflected - the question of good taste and high culture do not swallow the meat of a beast so hideous and disgusting: we need to say anything but "Enjoy!" when you consume meals of pork!
Pork, moreover, has malfunctioning kidneys. That is to say, unlike us humans or animals in general, its filtration system is physical constitution, in a certain way, sick or to put it more exactly, there is little operational: we are able to clean up the Our body is approximately 94% of uric acid through our kidneys and through urine, so also all the common animals. The pig, however, fails to expel the exception of about 4-5%. And the rest? The remains of course in the physical; we must not, in fact, surprised his fatten fast: it is much of what he had to finish in his urine! Uric acid (like other substances in urine), it is well known, is a dangerous poison, the vehicle of many diseases.
By then using the field of parasitology and microbiology than is demonstrated by yet another angle, such as pork contains high levels of pathogens that pose a considerable risk of disease.
This animal has in common with the man three treacherous guests: Balantidium coli, taenia solium and Trichinella. What would they be? We'll say it now:
1. The Balantidium coli, is a parasite that lives in the intestine large intestine. Its incidence is 21% pork, and 1% in humans. From pig to man through the food chain. The presence of this protozoan parasite causes diarrhea accompanied by severe pain in the abdomen, and can even be lethal.
2. The taenia solium (= the "tapeworm") is another parasite that dwells in the pig, from which it passes to humans. The incidence of human infestation by the pig varies from area to area. Some millions of men, however, are infected with this worm very reliable according to a report issued by an authoritative parasitologist. It is well known how difficult it is to cure those who are infested. The removal of this worm is indeed very difficult.
3. Trichinosis is another worm that, in turn, is hidden in muscle fibers of the pig. If the infested meat is ingested, trichinosis is installed in the small intestine of man, where reproduction takes place, and it is through the bloodstream to the larvae - 1500 per female - invade the whole body (muscles, skeleton, brain, bone marrow, retina and lungs). Its presence in the physical causes symptoms that are very similar to those produced by a specific fifty diseases, the diagnosis is therefore very difficult. Trichinosis, which is the name of the disease caused by this worm breaks out in epidemic form.
Another guest of the pig is the Erysipelothrix rhusiopathia. It is the pathogenic factor of acute or chronic erysipelas. That is acute, mainly consisting of high fever accompanied by a marked decrease in activity and appetite. As chronic, however, produces a diamond-shaped scales that affect the heart valves, and may cause the alteration of the functioning of the heart and also led to sudden death. The Erysipelothrix rhusiopathia is present in the body by about 30% of the pigs healthy and can survive for a long time even in its dried meat.
Among other damage inflicted by the pig include the following disorders: hemoptysis endemic, brucellosis, jaundice, intestinal obstruction, acute pancreatitis, anemia, and so on. In reality, there is no other animal food traditions among those included in the outside of the standard (dogs, cats, snails, frogs, etc..) Bearer of such a high potential for adverse effects to human health because the pig.
Notice how none of the formulations reported here proves the Koran in opposition with the data of modern knowledge, nor with anything that might reasonably arise therefrom. "

Zig Zag Comparison To A Swisher

power in school canteens and osteonecrosis

here Following an article by Dr.. Andrea Bolognesi,
who collaborated with the Municipality of Prato, as an expert in natural food
in tendering for school meals

The time of meal
With the reopening of schools persists, as every year, the issue of school meals and, more generally, in power ' childhood.
It 's a matter of considerable importance that, strangely, no one speaks.
just taking one thousandth of the time and pages allocated to the controversy on the crucifix in classrooms or on the question of the weight of backpacks, to do more practical work and social life.
all know now how close the relation between the onset of major diseases that afflict our age and some unfair or inappropriate behavior food. We also know that, in this last century have radically changed these habits in the countries of the so-called "civilized".
industrial technologies have gradually penetrated the food and, on one hand improved the preservation and hygiene of food, the other has irretrievably upset the balance inherent in nutrients such as Nature had given them to us for thousands years.
To support this strategy has succeeded, more and more overwhelming publicity, totally conditioned that the eating habits of most people. Well
alliance between these two powers (well established by the god Profit), resulted in the greatest threat to health history human memories.
pollution more subtle and more deadly. Without disturbing
striking and now historical episodes such as wine or tomatoes temik methanol or the latest "mad cow disease", just dwell on only two aspects, say newspapers, and therefore more dangerous, supply current, particularly important for children: sugar and refined foods in general.
Sugar is the prototype of the "food" is fine as the remnants of the working of cane or beet, which are removed all the vitamins and minerals to get to the product "pure sucrose.
There is more food in kind unbalanced: it is for those who ingests a "metabolic bomb" that forces the body to mobilize the adrenal glands, pancreas, and consume the B vitamins and calcium, to be able to dispose of it. You can not even consider it a food, but simply a bearer of "empty calories", an end in itself, unrelated to the needs of an organization in search of balance.
The dramatic rise of sugar consumption occurred in the last century (in Italy by 3 kg. Per capita in 1881 grew to 28.1 in 1984), goes hand in hand with the increase of degenerative diseases (diabetes, atherosclerosis , cancer, etc. ..) that have replaced the role of infectious killer of the twentieth century.
Official medical science began timidly to admit (as is now overwhelming evidence) the liability of sugar in Acarie decay and obesity, other scourges of the affluent society.
environment of Natural Medicine, where I work, are known in fact many other, broader responsibilities, as documented by the enemy of health.
Much the same is to be done to refined grains, in which no more than 90% of their nutritional value, their vitality, their admirable balance of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements, which for millennia has been the backbone of ' Food. Operations such as
refining, bleaching and shine the rice, reduce the wheat flour to make 00 for a loaf of bread that has only the name and then "steer" people, obviously constipated and / or colicky, to buy the bran (previously removed!) in pharmacy or herbal products at very high prices or the biscuits "enriched" with vitamins and calcium and phosphorus (previously removed!), they really think that the state, dominated by the multinationals, has little interest in public health, and indeed it takes action to undermine it.
These are just small examples of the absurdity, or rather "complicated simplicity" for profit, which the logic of modern forces us, we could go and find examples as meaningful in any food business. Despite such evidence
conquer the evil custom of feeding the children with sweets, snacks, soft drinks and the school becomes a "partner" as a place often chosen, with wicked cunning, advertising for the trafficking of these "junk foods", which not would propose, knowing well, our worst enemy.
There is nothing more destructive of these "foods" to children's health. Cocktails are devastating (studied by experts at the table) of refined sugars, dyes, preservatives, milk powder, fats, refined flours, which have nothing of genuine, despite the brazenly proclaim different advertising spots.
In addition the use of these products and morally harmful because the child away from the natural flavors of truly wholesome foods, fruits, fresh vegetables and wholemeal bread, etc. .. Some time ago an advertisement appeared even inviting the mothers to put in your two cakes instead of bread and butter is considered "heavy" to give more energy to their children and, in another scene, a boy said to another, during the interval, a sentence like: "But the great thing about school is that there is an interval, so we can eat our snacks."
Examples of such monstrosities which still continue in other forms, should be reported or not buying at least boycotted. Something similar happened a few years ago with the blow that cover the city with the words: "Sugar is good for the brain" - "Your body needs sugar. Never lies and deception were more serious because assimilate the sugars, complex carbohydrates understood as necessary for man to that of refined sugar-sucrose which has nothing to do with the human metabolic balance and energy needs of the brain .
Returning to school meals for some years a regional law
requires the inclusion of organic food and traditional food in school meals and so some attempt is being done, but there are still many obstacles, especially for the hostility of the parents of the children, stubbornly clinging to certain biases (such as meat every day, the meal with first, second, and fresh fruit, etc. ..) and the lack of knowledge and sensitivity of the teaching staff, things that I have witnessed directly participating as a consultant Comune di Prato for school meals.
How then to defend themselves?
Here are some suggestions:
1) ELIMINATE refined sugar in all its forms, visible or hidden (it is ubiquitous in the labels!), Buy only products where it is expressly written without sugar or, alternatively, where there are natural sweeteners like honey, malt, molasses, etc. ..
2) Replace refined grains (bread, pasta, rice, flour, etc. ..) with those integrals, possibly in organic farming.
3) boycott all industrial products advertised and sold for children, on the assumption that genuine and not a harmful product is inversely proportional to the manufacturer's advertising budget.
4) Go back to the traditional food of our land and seasons and to accustom the children to eat fruit, vegetables, legumes, whole grain bread.
5) limiting the use of television in children, especially advertising.
6) Outreach to schools to the problem of school lunch menus which are not (like those of the hospitals on which we would have to write another article) example of healthy power. Spend more time in meetings with parents to discuss these problems and operational decisions on the type expel from the school vending machines dispensing of snacks, Coca Cola and the like.
Finally remember that the people who have kept primitive habits and appropriate to their own traditions and have healthy teeth are very healthy, as they had more than a century ago, the indigenous sugar cane cutters, who used to chew, while their masters and colonizers who used refined sugar started to have rotten teeth and a thousand other ills. And do not believe those who tell you that in civilized countries mortality has declined and the other is still very high because if the planet's resources were better distributed between North and South would not be so. TriviArt Revealed! Art Trivia

Hello everyone, I finally find

some time to unravel the quiz now place two weeks ago. The photos I had brought the painting showed a particular "The Three Graces" of Pieter Paul Rubens , Flemish painter who lived between 1500 and 1600.

The detail that I showed you is nothing but a garland of flowers placed over the heads of the three dancing Graces. Although it is a very small part of the picture, the picture was perfectly readable and indeed, one could perfectly well appreciate the little bee on a flower drawn.
To capture this particular matter does not go to the Prado scale and fitted with a camera, waiting the right light to take the picture! Just go to Google maps or Google Earth and look for the museum.

The popular search engine is in fact waging a campaign scanning the most important works of the Prado to offer them the widest possible dissemination, digital images were acquired at very high resolution have a definition of about 14,000 million pixels!

Digital copies made on-line permit, therefore, not only an enjoyable unprecedented image (no blurs or abrupt transitions between one color to another), but also a clarity of detail almost better than to eye naked so you can appreciate the little bee on the flowers in "The Three Graces' by Rubens, or tears on the faces of the" Crucifixion "by Juan de Flanders.
also add the video released by Google that shows all stages of the project.

As shown in the video, Google Earth, enabling the label "3D Buildings", you can also "visit" the building of the Prado: it is a first step to the "online travel"?
course, see the works live them live fully in the place where they are stored, is not comparable to the simple vision of a copy digital, but that will anyone, even those who can not go to the Prado in person (for economic reasons, distance or for any other reason) may have access to cultural heritage that these works represent. And this is beautiful.

Journal of Cultural Heritage - Press Review, Part I

With this and the next post I groped a little experiment, to create a new kind of book. I'll try to summarize in a few lines the content of the articles that appear in the latest edition of the Journal of Cultural Heritage , a magazine specializing in the field of cultural heritage from cutting more scientific. As in a press release a bit 'unusual, I will review the salient features of the contributions reported in Volume 9, Issue 4 (September-December 2008) of that magazine (not to create the post too long and heavy, divide the review printed in more parts! I cover the first two articles in this post and the remainder in future posts). Anyone interested in learning more then any of the topics covered will follow the link that leads directly to the relevant article (viewable and downloadable from the site of Sciencedirect only if registered and subscribers, often the research groups and universities are). Alternatively, at your request if you, dear readers, the next post we could treat more detail in the articles that have intrigued more!

After this necessary introduction, let's go.

Journal Of Cultural Heritage
Volume 9, Issue 4, (September-December 2008) - Part One (pp. 357-375)

Georadar and passive seismic survey in the Roman Amphitheatre of Catania (Sicily)
Pages 357-366
S. Castellaro, S. Impose, F. Barone, F. Cotter, S. Gresta, F. Mulargia

The soil on which the Roman Amphitheatre in Catania has been the object of study of this work, they have been used geophysical techniques survey (GPR exploration, drilling and non-invasive methods, such as passive seismic stratigraphy) to collect information on the stratigraphy of the site and the possible effects they may have on it earthquakes.
The work is far from the arguments that I am so I have the expertise to evaluate the possible innovative elements or the importance of this study, but I think a job is certainly interesting especially as regards the aspect of prevention seismic activity. The seismic risk in Italy everywhere is quite high and understand what would be the effects of an earthquake is fundamental to allow engineers to take on the monuments archittettonic with solutions that minimize the damage by ensuring, on the other hand, the lowest impact on the work of art.

Silicatescape - preserving the old building materials in urban center landscape: The case of the silicate brick and urban planning in Tel Aviv-Jaffa
Pages 367-375
Irit Amit-Cohen

At a time when the state of Israel filled the pages of all newspapers for events related to the Palestinian question, of Tel Aviv there comes a very special article. Part of the historic center of this city, in fact, has been called the Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2003 and four years later was drawn up a list of buildings on which to focus their conservation efforts. These are linked by an architectural style based on a particular building material, the "silicate brick, used in Israel in the first half of the 900. The author in this article (which is scientific in the strict sense, to be honest, not much) complains that the municipal authorities in Tel Aviv, despite the importance of this building material, have it removed completely from urban planning for decades. The discussion then focuses on the importance of recovering this example of vernacular architecture , being aware of the role that in the past have had such materials. The author takes the story of Israel as an example brick for all those cases in which we should think of the urban renewal of city centers.
In this case the topics are, if anything, even more distant from that of which I am involved than were those of the previous article, so I know better than to make judgments or comment!

well I hope that welcomes this attempt to browse the latest news on the front of publications on conservation of cultural heritage. I realize that this first post in the treated articles are perhaps among those that may be of interest to most readers of this blog, but it seemed unethical to exclude a priori, According to my personal taste, some items more than others!
If you have any question, comment or curiosity to do, I recommend, get in!

... And do not miss the next episode, which will be considered in two articles in which the part of scientific research is much more consistent!

What Is Diazepam 5 Mg Tablet In Spanish

The super manager of the Cultural Heritage

Hello,

It is now a few months ago news that the Minister of Heritage and Culture, Sandro Bondi, would create a new figure in the cultural heritage: the "Director General for the development of museums."
In projects Minister that person would have among its duties, the 'permission to all loans for exhibitions, the decision on what the exhibition of "significant cultural, scientific research programs on the museum's holdings and, finally," the criteria for 'reliance on loan or deposit of goods or property by museums. "
We now know that it was actually taken a step back on the creation of this new figure (now called the "Director General of Museums") and especially the powers referred to it, is still interesting, in our opinion, talk about this and we would like to know your opinions.

The plans of the Minister, of course, Such a solution would help the ministry to boost the coffers and now wan to manage in a more simple (but also more authoritarian) all the various operations in the world of art, such as loans, exhibitions and acquisitions. This view is confirmed by the person who is going to hold this office: Mario Resca , business person of undoubted quality, but never had to do with the Cultural Heritage or works of art in general.

While it is important to be able to "value" their cultural heritage, it is essential to interpret that "exploitation" as the ability to allow anyone to take advantage of this wealth. No coincidence that many Italian sites are the property of 'UNESCO, or the heritage of' humanity.
The new manager should assist in ensuring the widest possible enjoyment and easily by everyone, not to mere financial speculation in the works for "make money".

The problem of recovery of funds for cultural heritage must surely be addressed, even the huge "turtle" bureaucratic, affecting most areas in Italy, must be fought by all means.
The "Director General of Museums" is the answer? It is not likely to have an overly "Economist" (Pass me the term) of cultural heritage, relegating works or places that are in fact pregnant with meaning, history and morality to mere objects of sale? It is not likely
perhaps a gradual shift in conservation efforts (and investment) to those sites "known" to those places, that is, allowing a greater monetary return, to the detriment of the sites (and works) "minor"?

We have launched our pebble in the pond ... waiting for your answers!
