Donnarumma Marco (Italy, 1984) is an independent new media artist, teacher, composer, performer and bass player; currently lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. His research comes to life in various forms such as live audio visual performances, responsive computing systems, interactive installations and electroacoustic compositions. His works, especially projects of live performances and concerts for live electronics, are regularly presented at international level. Donnarumma has exhibited and performed in 19 countries including South America, Europe and Asia (La Biennale di Venezia, Nemo, Mapping, Re-New, Notte Bianca Rome, Pikslaverk, Live! IXem, Cinesthesy - Visionsonic 1, Pure Data Convention, Carnival of e-Creativity, Dundee Visual Research Center, Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture , Laboral, Ausklang Festival, Netaudio, S-Block, Cinetrip Festival). In 2007 he received a BA with honors in visual arts and performing arts, Address New Technologies for the Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.
Since 2009 he is Professor of Sound Design for sensitive environments * FLOSS with the Master in New Media and New Technologies for the Arts at the LABA, Libera Accademia di Belle Arti di Brescia. E ' a researcher at FLxER.net and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Live Performers Meeting, an annual gathering of international new media artists.
Donnarumma regularly holds workshops and talks at universities and international institutions - previous experiences include the UPR, Universidad de Puerto Rico, the Gotland University, Institute for New Media Art and Technology in Sweden, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and Pierluigi da Palestrina, the Conservatory of Cagliari.
